"MISSION STATEMENT" ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION

March 11, 1972

ARTICLE III

The purpose or purposes for which the corporation is organized are:

  1. To promote the development and improvement of Lake Byron, located in Beadle County, South Dakota, and the immediate area there-of as a recreational area for the members and the general public;

  2. To improve, protect and conserve the propagation of fish, game and wild life and development of parks in said areas;

  3. For the purposes aforesaid, to take over the assets, rights, obligations and responsibilities of the unincorporated association knows as the Lake Byron Improvement and Protective Association, and its members; and

  4. To do all such things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above purposes.

TODAY Lake Byron Development Association Annual Meeting at Byron Bible camp. 10:00 am Brunch 10:30 Meeting.  

May 3rd Lakewide Rummage sale! 9-2pm. 

​Brecks will be having a potluck for the goose clean up crews and anyone wanting to show their support or appreciation.  6pm 40458 S Shore Rd.

Information on types of native species used is available at prairiemoon nursery website. Two properties planted some of these erosion fighting native plants. One on the southwest side along the sloped shoreline in the sun, and the other on the southeast side in a shaded area along the shoreline. These plants have been used to promote erosion control. Some plants used are yellow coneflower, prairie violet, prairie smoke, Anise Hyssop, purple prairie clover, and mexican hat.

GFP will be working on any orders from those interested so please contact Lake Byron Development association soon.  of plants will be discussed with interested
